The new website has been operational since March 2009 & it seems any "glitches" have been eliminated. If you have noted something that needs to be changed please contact me.
It is now July 2010 & we have experienced a very wet summer to date. Some crop land has been left unseeded & the low spots & wet lands are full of water in most areas. The early seeded wheat crops look good other than having some areas drowned out. The Canola crops are spotty at best & overall yields will no doubt be reduced. Hopefully this will be partly offset by higher prices as demand will likely exceed supply.
There is lots of grass for cattle & the seeded hay land looks very promising. Haying is about 3 weeks behind schedule as producers waited for field conditions to improve.
If you are considering selling your farm this may be an opportune time. There are not many properties on the market, particularly good grain farms. Despite the unfavorable exchange rates there is still lots of interest from European buyers.
Feel free to contact me anytime if you are want to discuss the options for your farm.
